Developers have expressed satisfaction with the levels of interest they saw at last week´s Luxury Property Showcase event in Bangkok.

More than 40 developments from Bangkok, Pattaya and Hua Hin were represented at the 10-day event which took place at the Siam Paragon Shopping Centre. Property Report Thailand spoke to several exhibitors to gauge the success of the event.

Pattaranit Imampai, Senior Communications Manager for Raimon Land, which was promoting its developments at The River in Bangkok and Northpoint in Pattaya, said: “The event was successful for us as it helped increase our exposure to the right target of customers, as seen from the large number of visitors to our booth and from the satisfactory sales generated during the event. More than 70 per cent of the visitors we saw were Thais aged between 30 and 45-years-old, which is our key target.”

She added her company is currently placing greater focus on Thai buyers as a result of the global economic crisis, in addition to the upbeat sentiment in the local market. “The event helped promote the Raimon Land´s brand image among potential investors and the public. This is the key reason why we have been participating in the event for three consecutive years,” she said.

The Eight Thonglor development from Pacific Star International was also attracting attention from visitors, and Chollachat Meksupha, Vice President Asset Development and Management, was equally pleased with the levels of interest.

He said: “We saw that interest from the market at this event remains strong, especially in light of the improving economy climate. People are still interested in projects located in prime areas, for both investment and their own stays. We are satisfied with sales and are in discussion with many potential buyers.”

For both companies promotions played a key part in their marketing to potential buyers at the showcase event. Pacific Star was offering incentives worth THB7 million including a Mini Cooper S, whereas Raimon Land partnered with Mandarin Oriental Hotel to offer THB200,000 worth of benefits to those who purchased units at the event.

Chollachat added: “We believe that the attractiveness of our promotions will help speed up our customers´ decision making.”
